Learning a second language

Although I have studied French and Spanish for many years both in high school and college, I have never taken the time to practice either language to ensure fluency. As I continue to travel for pleasure and business, I realize that I can no longer engage new colleagues and friends effectively without fluency in a second language.

I like the idea of setting a goal, documenting the process to achieve that goal, and charting the course that will get me there. The learning contract introduced in the last exercise is an excellent way to help me achieve my goal to attain fluency in a second language.

I've already begun to review french grammar and vocabulary, so I will continue to work on this language. Finding people locally as resources and for practice might be somewhat of a challenge, but not impossible. So here goes!
